Vancouver, B.C. Where Natural Beauty Meets Urban Luxury

Nestled between the majestic Coast Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, Vancouver, British Columbia is a city that seamlessly blends breathtaking natural beauty with world-class urban experiences. It is also often referred to as “Hollywood North” given the immense movie industry, as well as it being hometown to many celebrities (Michael J. Fox, Ryan Reynolds, Seth Rogen, Joshua Jackson, and so many more). Whether you’re an outdoor adventurer, foodie, or luxury traveler, this Canadian gem has something for everyone. This city is special to me as I have many family members here, and it is also where I went to University for my Bachelor’s (shout out UBC).

Local Food Specialties & Where to Eat

Vancouver is known for its fresh seafood, Asian cuisine, and farm-to-table dining. Some must-try specialties include:

Pacific Northwest Seafood – Dungeness crab, Pacific salmon, spot prawns, and halibut are local staples. Try them at Blue Water Cafe, Coast, or the legendary Tojo’s (where the California roll was invented!).

Head to Richmond (just outside Vancouver) for some of the best dim sum in North America, or try Miku for incredible sushi and its famous flame-seared aburi oshi. The fresh sushi selection and Indian restaurants alone are elite foodie worthy.

Canadian Classics – Indulge in maple syrup-infused treats and fluffy beaver tails (fried dough pastries) at Granville Island or local cafes.
